ENID
Gradwanderer
2004
Code 666 / CD-Maximum
Folk-progressive-jazz-black "all in one"
It is a very beautiful and interesting disc. Finely mixing black
metal, folk, progressive metal, jazz and blues elements, the band
gave us powerful and difficult record, combined of unusual material,
various by tempo, rhythm and mood. This music tends to be a music
for mind. Slow piano folk or jazz melodies alternate with black or
progressive guitar riffs, folk tambourines alternate with black metal
kick drum, beautiful clear male vocals alternate with atmospheric
chorus. Impressive disc, that can be recommended to all lovers of
not simple, original and beautiful music. What a pity that after this
album was published one of the leaders of the band rhythm guitar player
Alboin Goldmund made a decision to leave ENID. It is quite possible
that we won't hear such a multifarious and talented disc of this interesting
band anymore. (Nikita Oddfish)

Progressive gothic with amazing female vocal "look into yourself"
What an amazing, sincere, captivating vocal! It is the first,
that you want to say listening to Naamah; it is what comes straight
into your soul, persuading you to listen to the album again and again;
it is what gives you sense of understanding all the texts before you
actually start thinking over them; it is what makes you feel. It is
amazing. And what an interesting music is here in this album at the
same time! Non-black gothic with sequencer's strange sounds and changes
of rhythm in progressive metal style is brilliantly harmonizing with
this impressive vocal. You want to listen to this music in the evening
in the kitchen having a cup of tea, or in your CD-player, slowly passing
by numerous evening winter streets, or sitting in almost empty subway
carriage…(Nikita Oddfish)

Atmospheric industrial dark metal "fill your world
with energy - harmony and synergy"
Powerful album. Difficult, interesting, it is truly a work of
great talent. It is apparent, that the band has done really large
amount of creative job. Every composition is totally worked over;
every sound knows its own personal place; nothing is made in haste
and anyhow. Beautiful atmospheric sounding; deepness and multilayer
structure of music; composition of black, industrial, electronic elements;
excellent quality of recording; great vocals well harmonizing with
music; interesting and talented texts - all of this join in the new
creation of legendary band. I recommend this album to everyone, it
is doubtful that somebody will be disappointed. It is really great
piece of musical work. (Nikita Oddfish)
